You cannot call your correspondant through his IP address

If you have a problem calling your correspondant through his IP address, think to check the following points:

  • He hasn't launched the eConf software,
  • His IP address isn't valid,
  • There is a network problem.

You cannot call your correspondant by his alias

If you have a problem calling your correspondant by his alias, think to check the following points:

  • He hasn't launched the eConf software,
  • His alias isn't valid,
  • Either you or your correspondant are not recorded in the Gatekeeper,
  • The Gatekeeper's IP address is incorrect ( eConf's Gatekeeper configuration),
  • The GateKeeper is out of order,
  • There is a network problem.

Your correspondant calls you but you cannot open the line

This is a known problem with the eConf software. If this happens, we advise you to hang up and re-establish a communication with your correspondant.

An error message appears once the communication is established

This is a known problem with eConf software. If it happens, check that you haven't launched another audio or video application at the same time. If you have, we advise you to quit the application and re-start eConf.

The communication is established, but neither the audio nor the video work

This can happen if you use a personal FireWall (a known problem with eConf). In that case, disable your FireWall and relaunch a communication.
